A note from our retired CEO, Richard Cooper

January 6, 2017

Dear Members and Friends,

It has been an honor and a privilege to have served as the CEO of MLCU for the last eight and half years.  The Mendocino and Lake County communities have been welcoming – the opportunities to serve and to contribute innumerable!  My thanks and appreciation go to all who have served on our volunteer board and supervisory committee - your leadership and dedication to service set a high bar for all of us.  My gratitude and  admiration also goes to our amazing team of service focused employees. Most importantly, thank you to our members for your patronage and encouragement to always do more. During my tenure we have grown from $70 million to over $230 million in assets; membership has grown three fold to nearly 30,000. We have made several hundred million in loans to members! Pretty amazing statistics!  I leave the new soon to be larger organization in great hands - your new CEO Todd Sheffield comes with many years of experience and a track record second to none!  I have been a credit union employee for over 40 years and a credit union member most of my life.  It’s been a great run – now on to the next chapter.  All the best to you!

With appreciation,

Please note that Virtual Branch will not be available starting at 2:30pm on Thursday, 10/31. As part of our merger, we will be integrating the Mendo Lake Credit Union and Fort Bragg Community Federal Credit Union Virtual Branch systems. Staff will work as quickly as possible to complete the task, and we expect the system to be available the afternoon of Saturday, November 2nd.

To ensure that all members receive ample notice of this service interruption, this informational page will be displayed every time you log into Virtual Branch through the end of October. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition!
